Ticks on dogs!

My dog has always used Frontline plus but recently I have found loads of ticks on him (dead and alive ones). We only walk on the pavement and maybe there's a few dead leave lying around. I found in the website there's a product called K9 Advantix but cannot get this in the pet shop, has anyone's dog tried this and is it good? Where can I buy this from?

We have been having the same problem with big ticks. I have been told by the SPCA vet that the ticks in HK are not as bad as other places with regard to killing the dogs and tick fever - but saying that it would be nice if there is a solution to stop them landing on the dogs in the first place!

Oh my God!!! Frontline Plus is not working at all? I have been using "Revolution" in the past 3 months, silly me...it is not a good stuff, cos I just found out a few tick's bite on the skin of my doggie! Hmn...I am going to buy frontline plus...but now....??
