Would add my support for the AVENT - just establish the right rhythm and you're away!

Agree. Avent Isis is fantastic! Also liked the Symphony myself but I get a better yield with the Avent Isis. Give it a try.

Avent have an electronic portable pump also which fits to the manual. The electronic pump has a battery pack and an elctrical pug in cord. I used it on my flight to the UK

you may also wish to consider the medela lactina battery/ mains operated pump, available in bumps to babes (yellow) it is efficient and easy to travel with. For sterilizing when away, its quite convenient to use milton tablets which you can dissolve in a bowl of water. Easier than taking your at home sterilizing equipment. Hope that helps!

Well, I tried both. The mini electric medela and the Avent manual pump. The mini electric was comfortable but I couldn't get a lot of milk out of it. The Avent manual pump was excellent. Got a lot of milk but it was hard work pumping.

When others vote for "Avent", is it the manual one or the electric one we are talking about? Don't get me wrong, I love Avent too.... but wonder if the electric is better for my next pregnancy.

MayC i went from the Avent manual to single electric to double electric and the single Avent pump was so much faster and easier to use but as i'm expressing all my milk i went to the double which is brillant.
