600$ is not so expensive for the high quality product. If you need for TV, go for this one.
There are cheaper options (11mb), good for internet, too slow for TV.
Price - around 500$ / pair.

Might be better to move the broadband an internet socket to the living room and get a wireless solution for the internet access in the bedroom (wireless access point or router plus a wireless adapter, if the computer does not have one built in). Might come in a little cheaper only, but definitely a more robust solution with additional benefits (like internet coverage anywhere in your apartment without wires, e.g., if you want to move your PC around or have a laptop).

You will not share the ADSL for surfing and TV.
PCCW will install a 2nd connection and a 2nd model/router that will go into the decoder. If you will choose to get a 2nd TV connection, they will add one more connection + one more router.
Wireless is OK, depend on the envirement. It is now as good as wired for heavy traffic (like file sharing or on-line gaming).
