Gas oven or Electric even???

What do you say?


I really need your advice. I've this perception in mind that gas oven is better BUT I find that there are much more choices in the electric range.

My mum swears that cakes aren't as moist if baked in an electric oven as the air is dryer in them. I guess there are theoretical grounds to support this empirical belief ("the products of combustion are carbon dioxide and water", and all that).

I'm no chef but love to cook - my idea of a perfect kitchen is an electric oven and a gas hobb. Personally I've found electric ovens to be more reliable.
