Could anyone give an idea of the skills level & weekly commitment required for sporting membership at the HKFC or the HKCC. Hubby is very fit & loves sport but has played no team sports other than a little cricket for some years. Rugby was his sport at school but that was 20 years ago! He loves tennis but is a bit of a maverick (i.e. more guts and have a go than skill and finesse)
Or for the ladies: what about netball or tennis for an improving advanced beginner?

Hi,we are members of HKFC,my partner joined the rugby section, if your husband is under 40 that should be okay.Commitment is for four years, two nights a week training and must be available to play on a Saturday. Bowling is the easiest section!Male or female but is predominantly Chinese.Tennis is not one of the sports you can join on.Netball section will take beginners, again evening practice and midweek matches for four years, netball matches can start as late as nine o'clock in the evening.Along with sporting commitment you also have to spend at least $1000 a month in the restaurants etc.
