my folks are in town for a few days and want to take them somewhere decent for lunch tomorrow - somewhere with a view or somewhere very "hong kong" not too expensive as I will be paying!! Any hidden gems out there?

Dim Sum at City Hall (I think 2nd or 3rd floor) - get there about 10:30 - 11am, get a table near the window if you can and bring it on....fabulous food, great view and not very much money. Very local, and you can see the food before you choose it.

City Hall is a good one, or afternoon tea at the Peninsula is also a winner - a bit more pricey but the oldies love it. If you have a few hours you could take the ferry to one of the outlying islands, Lamma or Cheung Chau, and have a cheap lunch over there.
