How do I make DVD labels on to the disk? Do I need a special label maker and program? I'd like to make my movie/ photo cds more visually appealing.

I'm I remember correctly, Word has a template for DVD lables.

You could also try Avery lables or Fellowes.

Hi Cruser.

If you are talking about putting labels onto your discs, then take a trip to one of the computer centres and buy a kit. It will have the software for making the labels, a pack of labels (matt, gloss,, etc) and a label machine so you are able to stick them to the discs and not to your fingers......

If you are talking about burning the image directly onto your discs, then you need to buy a "Lightscribe" capable VCD/DVD Writer. You then need to buy special "Lightscribe" discs. A litle more expensive, but I've had some excellent results with them. They can look very professional. You can buy both VCD's and DVD's in the "Lightscribe" format.

Hi Cruiser.

Glad to be of help.

I have always used Nero. I have tried a few of the others, but haven't tried Roxio.

The new version of Nero also has a "Lightscribe" interface, which makes life a bit easier too.

Thanks about my "Handle".

Take it easy.
