I've got a 2yr2mth old daughter. She recently got toilet trained. But we still put her own a diaper b4 she go to bed at night, just in case. Hwr, she refuses to pee onto the diaper at midnight. Instead she wakes me up & ask me to take her to the loo. I already take her to pee b4 sleep. But sometimes she's just to desparate.....any suggestions?

Keep a night light on, have a 'potty' nearby - ie in bathroom where she doesn't have to climb onto a big toilet and tell her if she needs to go in the middle of the night that is what she needs to do - be a big girl and see if you can do it without waking mummy up! ;-)
You may want to cut down on the number of times you insist she goes to the toilet in a day - just work on demand - this way her bladder will get used to the full feeling and be able to overcome it when she is asleep.
I would say what is happening is that she is taken to the toilet every 2-3 hours during the day - peeing on demand of someone else. Her bladder is not used to going for long periods of time and so she gets a 'full' feeling when it isn't full due to the over going to the loo. If she wakes up due to a full feeling then she is capable of knowing when to go to the bathroom herself during the day and so don't make her go potty unless she initiates it. (This is the next stage of potty training)

You could try taking her to the toilet just before you go to bed (unless you go to bed at the same time). Usually her bladder will within a couple of hours of going to bed. You don't need to wake her fully, just enough to get her to release her bladder.
Doesn't work for everyone but it might be worth a try - it worked for one of my sister's kids but not the other.

Well gee, I don't see anything to complain about at all! :-) Her brain is mature enough to wake up when she needs to pee, and she has enough pride that she doesn't want to use a diaper. Great! Celebrate her success! The next step of helping her learn to use the potty independently when she wakes up at night will come very soon. Just give her the tools and skills she needs to achieve her goals, and she will do the rest -- she sounds very motivated. She probably is not yet afraid of the dark, but she may become afraid of the dark sometime in the near future. Install a little night light wherever the potty is.

Something else that we found - when we eliminated/reduced preservative 282 from our children's diet (found in commercial bread) - the night peeing reduced. May not want to give her commercial bread after a certain time in the day.

Dimac4, very interesting! I am not sure what preservative 282 is. So what is the recommended time to stop giving them commercial bread?
My daughter has been off diapers altogether eversince she turned 3. There has been a few hit and misses so she's wet the bed a few times already. Now I carry her to the loo before I head for bed. Eventhough she is in deep sleep, it's weird but she automatically pees when she's on the toilet. Goes back to bed again without any fuss.

I don't know a recommended time - we took it out of their diet all together and it made massive changes to their behaviour as well as not wetting the bed - almost instantly.
Here is a link to a fact sheet on the preservative. I would recommend you eliminate store bought bread from any childs diet. Get a bread maker and make your own or get your bread from a reputable bakery - Ali Oli's and mushroom bakery in Sai Kung don't use the preservative. it is usually put in major bread company bread to stop the bread going mouldy after it is put into the plastic bags while it is hot and condensation happens.
