Spam mail increase?

Has anyone else noticed a significant increase in the amount of spam emails they get - particularly from Japan?

I have been watching the traffic I get by setting up a spam folder for my inbox - in one week I had 94 unsolicited emails...about 40% from Japan (could tell from the Japanese characters in the subject heading)

Anyone else notice a marked increase or could it just be my address has been sold to everyone who wants to send this stuff??

I have been getting at least 5 a day. I dont open them since I don't recognize the names but they alwasy go straight into my "bulk " folder instead of my normal emails. I can't stand it!

I use Message Labs... it eliminates almost all spam...
