We use cloth nappies too - and love them! One thing that was an unexpected benefit is that ours never seem to leak! They are very soft and baby seems to like them.
It is much easier to use than we imagined as well - just one extra wash a day.

How do you go about choosing the best one for your baby? I've been looking into so many brands from the UK, US and Europe and they are all more or less the same in what they do. Now I'm really confused and giving me a headache!!

You are right scytran, all diapers indeed do the same job at then end:)
The question may not be really what is best for the baby, but what is more suitable to the parents' needs or lifestyle .. and then to know that as babies are shaped differently, some diapers may fit one baby better than another one and I think that is the main reason why there so many different brands out there.. and also because some moms tend to be cloth diaper addicted:)
Otherwise, there are just some points to know, like to be very cautious with so-called All-In-One diapers style with totally breastfed babies (more prone to leak!!) and prefer diaper + cover system.. On the contrary, these All-In-One diapers may be easier if your child goes to nursery for instance (similar style as disposable ones)
But if you are free Saturday 3rd, try to come there to finish with your headache for once!
