Just wondering how many parents vaccinate their babies or children with Prevanar... have some friends who got it, some say not necessary. My pediatrician says it's not mandatory in HK, it's expensive, but it is mandatory for babies at 2months and above in USA.....

Yes, we did.
Our Pediatrician follows the USA vaccinations schedules.
Our theory is that diseases are bad, and we should take advantage of modern medicine.
But we know that others will not agree and say that they are too risky.
I am glad my husband and I agree on vaccinations, as I know some people have very strong feelings about them.

Yes, did both children. Meningitis is something that terrifies me, and I think we should do anything we can to protect our children against it.
Totally agree with cri. Centuries of medical research and progress are there for our protection.

My pediatrician asked me as well. I did some research about it and came to the conclusion that I am not going to do it.
PS: It's also not compulsory in my home country. I often feel in the US they vaccinate too much.
