Hi All,


Am I looking for a needle in a haystack???


I am looking for CSR/Sustainable Development jobs in Asia. I am suitably qualified with a Masters and several years work experience in the global CSR team of one of Europe's leading banks.


I want to move to Asia to work with the movement in the world's most exciting region. Are their any soul brothers or sisters out there who can assist?


Any concrete advice on where to look (in addition to Civic Exchange) would be very helpful.

MARKETING AND EVENTS MANAGER

-Work with a team to manage regular CSR Asia events

Requirements:

-3 years of experience in marketing and promotion of events and conferences

-A commitment to and interest in CSR

-Strong project management skills, with special attention to deadlines

-Strong people management, organisational skills and team building capacity

-Strong knowledge of promotions creation and distribution

-Knowledge of relevant IT skills and promotion of events via the Internet

-Relevant degree in marketing or communications or equivalent experience

-Excellent English-language skills essential, Cantonese and/or Mandarin Chinese desirable

PUBLIC AFFAIRS AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Hong Kong Region (including Macau)

Reports to Region Manager

Encompass a broad range of responsibilities to help maintain and create, through public affairs and communications, a favorable trading environment for the business, including marketing communications and corporate affairs in Hong Kong and Macau.

Key duties include overall management of external affairs function for the region, as well as assisting the Company with product promotion, trademark recognition, corporate reputation building and managing business risk from an EA perspective, and to protect the company and brand name with protective measures and act as the company's spokesperson in times of incidents.

Principal Accountabilities

-Responsible for overall development and implementation of regional public and media relations programs.

-Assist with identifying those needs and opportunities which will promote meaningful external and government affairs programs.

-Assist in the development and implementation of regional sponsorship programs.

-Responsible for handle professionally and respond quickly to the requirements of the media, the public and to those events which directly or indirectly affects the business of the Company.

-To enhance relationship with local and international media.

-Assist in External Affairs aspects of Scientific Regulatory Affairs and Environmental Protection issues.

-Manage all aspects of crisis management, and to serve on the Division's Crisis Management team. Alert Region and Division when potential crisis occurs in HK and Macau Region.

-Advise and liaise with Marketing, operations and other departments on marketing communications, public relations, and external affairs aspects of Company activities.

-Supervise and organize media functions and press conference.

-Handle and monitor budgets for the Department.

-Coordinate and handle VIP visits as appropriate.

-Monitor and distribute news clippings and other relevant materials to management and Corporate as appropriate.

Media Relations

-Develop excellent media network with national, regional and local media for effective communication on corporate and business messages.

Public Affairs

-Possess a good sensitivity of the social / economic / political environment that would affect the growth of the business

-Update the management on sensitive and potential public affairs/ consumer affairs issues that might affect the business

Government Affairs / Lobbying

-Establish good contact and knowledge of national / local related government officials who have direct influence on the Company's business.

-Good relationship and/or negotiation skills to influence/lobby the officials to make decisions favorable to the Company business

Employee Communications

-Have a keen sense of interest and knowledge in employee's concerns, and be able to identify areas to improve communication

-Work with HR to ensure the year-round employee communications initiatives are effective, responsive and proactive

Issues Management

-tay alert of on-going issues that might affect the business in near-term or in the future

¡HAble to devise and advise effective measures proactively to tackle the issues proactively to minimize the negative impact

Crisis Management

-Understand the situation of the crisis and be able to develop effective action plan to contain the negative impact

-Be proactive and prepared before the crisis becomes full-blown

-Able to work with related parties in the system various functions and bottlers and external stakeholders and leverage available resources

-Lead, control and mitigate the crisis until the event is over

-Post-crisis review and sharing of learning be done thoroughly and systematically to educate the system and to avoid similar issues in future.

Brand PR and Marketing Communications

-Deliver creative execution of brand PR to drive maximum and positive publicity effect

-Good understanding of brand program and mechanisms, and be able to avoid sensitivity areas that might negatively impact the campaign or promotion

Financial Communication

-Understand the financial performance of the Company division

-Able to communicate with target media/ external stakeholders with specific messaging that help build image of the Company brand without releasing sensitive information

Citizenship/External Affairs

-Identify opportunities of CSR External partnership that would create positive impact on corporate brand image

-Able to evaluate the financials of the opportunities and advise if it is cost-effective

Activist Relationships

-Understand the NGOs / activists activities in the division/ region/ local cities and how it would affect the Company's business

-Build communication channels and maintain appropriate contact with NGOs/ activists group

-Advise the Company the appropriate action to be taken in relation to activist activities that might affect the Company

Creativity and Ideation

-Creative in all communications initiatives and refrain from repeating past exercise

-Foster an environment where people are happy and enthusiastic to share ideas and brainstorm for good ones

Systematic and Analytical Skills

-See the big picture as well as the myriads of activities within the global and China system

-Able to approach their job systematically with in-depth analysis and relevant advices

Requirements

You will be a Degree holder in Public Affairs, Communications or Journalism with a minimum of 6 years' experience working in Corporate Affairs and Public Relations, preferably in consumer product sector. You will be a strategic thinker and a tactful communicator with a good understanding of how to work with the media and the government body. You will be a self-motivated individual with commercial sway and a strong desire to excel. You will be presentable, articulate in both English and Chinese with excellent interpersonal skill.

 Based in Hong Kong, the T&D Consultant is responsible for designing and delivering training and development initiatives for staff at various levels in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China.

 Conducting training needs analyses, designing training programmes from scratch and delivering the finished product, often within a short time-frame.
