hi everyone, can anybody suggest how is it with Internet connection in HKG apartments?
I am moving to HKG this summer, seeking for an apartment. Is it common that you find an Internet access in the flat? do I need to apply? how much would be montly cost?

No need to find a flat with internet access as most flats don't come with it.
The quickest internet access I can think of is through Broadband cable service. I would suggest not getting thelocal cable when you get here as most network is moving to Broadband..Go straight for Broadband and add the internet access. Cost for internet access is around $HK300p/month aprox. that will be added to your broadband package of course.
I'm sure there is a cheaper way but that is the way I have gone. Good Luck!!!

thank you. what about cost of getting a computer? I presume as most of them are made in China the prices are cheep? am I right?

Not necessarily....You can find brands here that you may not have heard of cheaper. But if you want to stick to what you know and get the bells and whistles it about the same, but your selection here is wider as they practically have every brand here you can find.
I upgraded my laptop and bought ordered a chord for US and Hong Kong so I can still use my laptop when I go home.
Also if you just want a computer to hold you over when you are hear, a lot of people sell them on this sight but you should do everything to make sure it's in good working condition.
