Hi,

Anyone knows where to get cheap/reasonable price maternity tops? preferably less than a hundred each. Been looking around and the cheapest i've found is $150 and it's just a simple loose cotton shirt. I just need it for my everyday wear so no need to be expensive. If you have second hand tops for sale, let me know too. Thanks.

Here are some HK and Singapore online sites.

If you are just looking for cheap and large to hang out at home in, you could also try Stanley Market. They even have proper maternity clothing at times!

Bought a few Old Navy Maternity tops in a factory outlet shop in Wanchai last week -- $69 each! I can't remember the name of the shop but it is quite a big one on Hennessey Rd. Walk up Spring Garden Lane from Queen's Road East and it's on your left after you hit Hennessey. Even if you can't find that particular shop, I find the shops along that stretch really good for economical pregnancy tops -- the cheap 'fashion' stores have lots of long empire line tops that are perfect for us pregnant ladies.

Thanks for the info, mayafox, are you talking of hennessy road, or Johnston road, which is the tram street? i know almost all the outlet shops are in Johnston street. I read that you can find it there as well as those outlet shops in CWB, but i just don't feel like walking in each shop. If you can remember the name, the better.

I'll look on those link and stanley, Cri, thanks.

A friend of mine bought one or 2 'expensive' tops and dresses that she really liked and then got them copied in all sorts of colours for about $80 each in Shenzen, which brought the unit cost way down and justified the initial splurge.

Hi Boss

I have a few tops on sale that are under $100 each, and t-shirt and camisole sets too that fit into your price range. To find the sale page, just click on tops, then the 'sale items' link is at the top of that page

Also try the Esprit factory shop in TST or Tung Chung - they go upto UK 14 and so if you're smaller than that to start then they have some which have ties at the back and stuff - I got loads of cheap stuff from there that did me my whole pregnancy and looked pretty good for every day and work - plus things like wrap around cardigans that grow with you!

Hi Mayafox,

Went there today to try my luck, there's only one big shop on the left that sells mens, ladies and children's clothes. I did not find any Old Navy tops, did you get all of the display? i asked the salesperson, and as expected, didn't understand me and told me that everything is on display. How do you know that it's for maternity? Luckily, i got one beautiful dress $39!!! and a polo wrap around style $79, with "maternity" word on the back label. I asked for more but he said there's none. I wonder if it's the same shop that you've been, the name is Westwood. I think they don't have stock of the items sold, once it's sold, no more. The other shops are smaller and i found no maternity tops, though i bought a few empire cut tops.

I got some lycra shirts from Giordano when I was pregnant (can't remember exactly how much, but definitely less than $100), and I could fit in them even at 9 months (and can still wear them now). You don't even have to get XL, just get it one size bigger than you normally would wear. Lycra's stretchy and this is the one time you'll be proud to show off the tummy, not to mention the other womanly curves ;-)
