Junk Party

ORIGINAL POST

My 11 year old daughter would like a junk party for her birthday. Jaspas junk is expensive for an 11 year old's party. Are there any other junks that do this from Sai Kung and also go to one of the beaches?

We did a junk for my son's 10th birthday. We did it with 2 of his close friends, which worked well as most of them had shared mates. We booked a junk through they all invited 5 friirnds

oops sorry - pressed the wrong button. We booked a junk through pana oceans, which is around $2,300, plus hired a sampan lady for $200 to ferry everything and everyone backwards and forwards to the beach. We self catered with drinks and a bbq on the beach and just divided the cost between the 3 families. But to keep it even easier just supply crisps and sandwiches, cold pizza etc. The kids weren't really that interested in food, just playing football and rugby on the beach, and jumping off the junk. Make sure you take cds (most junks have a cd player but check first, if not take a small portable player. And take a couple of friends with you as helpers and extra eyes, plus to give you someone to talk to on the beach. The kids loved it and talked about it for weeks after.

Thanks cd. Great idea unfortunately I don't have someone to share the party with... bummer. Did you organise any special games for the boat and on the beach? Was Panna junk a set price or did you pay by the person?

You can try Saffron Cruises, I know they've done a junk party for a child and operate from Sai Kung. I don't know how much they charge but you can check their website www.saffron-cruises.com

Pana Oceans you pay by the boat not per person. No we didn't organise any games, they were quite happy messing about in the water, and on the beach etc.
