Will be travelling to Bali with my 14 month old, and wanted to know from others who also vacationed there with their babies, did you need/use swim diapers? I am inclined to buy some before our trip, but here in Japan they are not widely used in the pools for swim classes. If your child 'goes' whilst in the pool you are just supposed to grab them out and clean them up. I'd say no need in the ocean, but for the hotel pool may be another matter...

i use one on our bubs in our condo pool incase she does a poo i wouldn't want to swim in the pool if she'd done one of her poos as they are always big and runny!

We use washable swim nappies - they hold the poo, but not the wee. They are really just like bathing suits, but with a liner and a good fit around the legs and waist. Of course, they won't hold the poo forever! So you need to take baby out of the pool to change if they do poo.
You can order them from http://www.doubibou.com/diapers/swimnappies.html if you can't find them locally.
There are also other overseas sites that sell them too. We use the ones from MotherEase (only becasue Doubidou wasn't around when we bought ours!)
