I am JUST wondering.... cuz I have heard many different stories. Some say one can only have 3 preganancies b/c of c-sections... that's maximum. Some say now, (like my doctor) that I have have as many as 5 (Oh GOD !)..... just wondering if there are any moms out there that had more than 3 C-sections? How were they differ each time? And have them affected your overall health and well being?

I have had 3 c sections but also surgery for an ectopic pregnancy which was the same so four incisions in the same place! I had my last baby 3 months ago and all is fine. Each c section was easier then the previous one, mainly because you know what to expect and on the last one I was up and moving in the shortest time ever. My doctor told me she had 5 c sections and my ob gyn recently delivered an 8 th c section to a lady!

Wow! Thanks. (Not that I am anywhere near thinking about having any more babies). But good information to know during debates with my friends and relatives.

I visited two gynaes after the birth of my little girl - mainly to get information on my complication and to talk about my next pregnancy. My gynae at the Union Hospital said that the maximum c-sections she'll do is 3 and not more. My other gynae in Central said he did his fifth on a lady the night before.

Personally, I would say 3 max because it's a major surgery......

Still, I wish I had the option of having more than 3 children although I probably wouldn't...

My sister-in-law had 5 c-sections. A lot of doctors (her doctor said it too) try to tell you not to have more babies. But it is not true. I would not limit myself on that.

my ob/gyn said preferably 18 months, prior to my second pregnancy, I had a pre-pregnancy check up to ensure all is alright before getting pregnant. I am glad I did.

Whenever you have your 2nd C-section, tell your surgeon you want to have more babies and ask him to assess the condition of the scar tissue while he is "in there."
