TUNING TV THRU VCR

The above is something I have done numerous times without too much hassle. Just had to buy a new TV (Sharp) last week and tuning in terrestial channels no worries, hooked up dvd player but for some reason cannot do the above. The VCR is only a few months old (JVC)so I know it's not broken and following the TV instructions (which basically say to refer to VCR instructions) I cannot figure out why it's not working (can't even get the menu for the VCR to appear on screen). Wondered if anyone could recommend the appropriate workman who sorts out this type of problem on HK Island... Thanks

Connect the antenna to the VCR then from the VCR to the tv with a second cable, turn the VCR on, then do an automatic tune on the TV. The TV should find the signal of the VCR as well as the TV stations.


Alternatively you can just connect it via AV connections to the TV.
