Any recommendations for anything larger than standard sizes? I'm a big girl and need clothes (Aussie size 18) and shoes (Aussie size 9). Any ideas?

If you do not want to go the tailor route then have a look in the shop opposite the old fabric market on Dongjiadulu. I am a british size 16 and have found armani jeans, banana republic skirts and trousers, along with some nice tops.
As for shoes I am a honkin' size 8 so i get them made here, there are two places on Nanyang lu that are good and normally take about 2 weeks per pair. Prices vary depending on which material you choose but usually start at about 250 rmb
