Not enough for container to USA

I am looking for input and suggestions on what type of moving company to use as we are only taking 2 pieces of furniture and the rest will be boxes of books, clothes,papers and personal things. What will be the cheapest way to go?

I had the same problem when I recently moved to HK from the US. I contacted several moving companies and I just simply did not have enough for them to even consider taking on my move. In the end, I wound up shipping all my belongings via postal service. If you don't mind waiting 2 months to receive your things, then I think it's the best (and perhaps only) route to take. Of course, that would mean you'd probably have to sell those 2 pieces of furniture, but I really don't see any other option for you, unless you're willing to pay the hefty amount it would take to buy out the entire container. (You can always put an ad out to find someone in the same situation to split the container with you). Just to give you a ballpark figure, I spent about $500USD to ship 12 large boxes, each weighing about 40lbs. Hope I've been of some help... Good luck!

hmmm I don't mind the wait but there is a large and heavy coffee table that we really want to bring back. Just am not sure what to do
