7 months is about right. I'm trying to remember when our son rolled over it was about 6 months. He also preferred to sleep on his tummy. Do not worry about her smothering herself their necks are now strong enough to lift their heads, they are not as fragile as they look!! You could try rolling her back but I am sure after a few tries you will realise it is a fruitless exercise as she will most likely turn back within minutes! There was another thread on this about a week ago.

I too get so "panicked" about my baby smothering or suffocating by the blankets, bibs, and hankerchieves.....
But every now and then, I test my baby. I cover him with a hankerchief over the face, and at about 6 months now, he knows how to take it off, and laughs when he sees my face, it's "peek-a-boo" by him! So, I know, he won't suffocate..... b/c he's developed the skill to do that now.
At 7 months, the chance of SIDS is a lot lower, but much lower if the baby is reaches 1 year old. My baby still sleeps with the cushion that prevents him from rolling. He sleeps on his side very well with it. He can roll 360 at least 3 times if I leave him on my bed..... but with this cushion, he stays still.
