If it's metal, the janitor might be very happy to dispose of it as he may get part of the scrap value (walk down Tung Loi Lane in Sheung Wan at dusk, and you'll see every fragment of metal from fax machines, radios and light fittings being removed and sorted). If he's not enthusiastic, I'm sure $50 would brighten his countenance.
