I tried to apply for a job, and when its time for me to go to work I can't leave my 6 months old baby. I really want to work....but looking at my baby I don't want to leave him the whole day at home with the helper, anyone have experience with this kind of situation?

Yes - and my children are teenagers - I want to be here when they come home from school and make sure they have had breakfast in the morning, I want to be able to have enough energy and not be too busy to talk to them at night when they want to talk.
I didn't work until the oldest was 13 and the youngest was 8, however I found that for the 3 years I did work we had many problems. I have since given up fulltime work because right now - as much I want to work - my kids need me more than I need to work and they will be leaving home soon so any time spent with them is a good thing.

Perhaps look at the possibilyt of part time work. It will get you out of the house and allow you to interact with other people but you still have time to spend with your baby.

tough problem...I also didn't want to work after having my #1 - went back to work parttime, working from home. Even that also sometimes seems unfair - away from my baby even for the few hours a day that it is.

thank you guys! this a very helpful site. Yeah I am trying to look for a part time job, its too hard when you are the one who took care of your baby from birth, you get too close and its too hard to be away even just for few hours, I can't even go out long if I am not with my baby.....I always think of him, maybe he fall down and the helper wont tell me....too much worries.
