can anyone recommend what they done if they are sending bulk packages back to australia. I looked at the weight prices for 40-50kgs with HK post and it is expensive.

Anything to send that much weight is expensive - cheaper option is for surface mail.Cheapest is for someone with no bags to take it for you on the plane. HK post is the cheapest of all the couriers.
