How old is your child?
I know some people who wanted their children to walk more, thus stopped using the stroller when the child was about 2.
But all my girls still used it until they're about 3, especially when we're out and about in the town.

we've stopped using it when he started to walk steadily (around 14 months). he refused to sit in it for long and we end up lugging it AND our LO along, so just decided to just give it up.

Depends on how long the walk is. I loved using a very lightweight and portable but durable umbrella stroller. I gave mine away when baby was four, just before coming to China and it seemed we hadn't used in a year. But, then I sure did mis it as we were walking all over the city with a small child who finally in desperation learned how to drape herself over a rolling suitcase when she was too tired to walk anymore.

We stopped using it since we moved to HK as the pavements are awful here, at the time my son was 2yrs old. Ours was a lightweight umbrella stroller and even that became too much of a hassle folding/unfolding for the buses, stairs etc.
