where to rent children's car seat in U.S

we are going to the states with our 3-year old kid. we don't have a car seat. but we will need one driving around in the states. Instead of buying one each time, does anyone know where we can rent one?

I'm assuming you're renting a car as well??? If so, you can rent a car seat as well. Be sure to specify that you need a car seat ahead of time and it will be in the car when you arrive. Booster seats can also be rented when your child is a bit older.

Actually we will be staying with a relative and we can use her car. Is there a place we can just rent the car seat?

You can definitely rent car seats. I just googled "car seat rental" and came up with a lot of sites. If you google that along with the location where you'll be, I imagine that you'll find a place. Good luck.
