Hi all - we are from Hong Kong, and re-locating to Shanghai in December 2006. We have 2 kids (11 and 6), who had studied at "International" schools since nursery. We are searching for similar schools in Shanghai, and had narrowed down a few -- Livingston American School, Singapore International School, and SMIC. I heard that waiting lists are long.
Questions -
1) what's the quality of these schools? I don't mind British, American, International.
2) Is the waiting list reaaaaaaaaally that looooooong? Any idea how long is the wait?

1. Some parents are happy, some parents are not. You should ask about the experiences with the school, and why they chose, or not choose the school.
2. Waiting lists are long because some parents "multiple-book".
I've had discussions on this in http://www.shanghaiexpat.com/index.php?name=MDForum&file=viewtopic&t=22365&start=25&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

I've also written about my school in some of my posts in my blog.
