Are there any clubs or large areas to fly the RC models in HK.

I've seen people occasionally flying model planes not far from where I live in Tai Po - they look to be near Tai Mei Tuk in one of the villages, and fly them over the hillside.

I have also seen people flying them in Nam Sang Wai (NW New Territories, near Yuen Long). There was quite a big open space and several people with radio-controlled planes and helicopters.

I suspect that it's not legal, but both the areas are fairly remote and so I guess police are less likely to do anything.

Why not ask at the shops that sell the planes? They should know about any clubs around (although whether you can get any information in English is another matter).
