What are those logs near Sunny Bay?

I live in Tung Chung and take MTR everyday. I always see there are logs near between Sunny Bay and Tung Chung station. Just wonder anyone knows what's there and what they are for?

Originally the area was called YAM O and was used for log pond operators which was then terminated because of building the North Lantau expresway.In its hey day there were thousands of logs waiting for re-export
