Hi,
Just wondering if anyone had taken a flight from Shenzhen to shanghai? How much does it cost (return)? which airline is better? How long is the flight? Is it convenient to go from Lo wu cross the boarder to get to Shenzhen airport?

- Officially RMB1400 each way, economy. Cheaper if you buy from an agent in SZ and roundtrip and avoid peak hours. I think I paid RMB1900 roundtrip last time, so no significant saving over HKG/SHA/HKG.
- China Southern has lots of flights daily.

- SZ airport is far from LoWu. Better get the ferry from HK to Shenzhen port, from where a shuttle bus takes you the short distance to SZ apt. Scroll down to "Kowloon/Shenzhen" at

i've done the shenzhen / shanghai flight several times. the best fares i've seen (one way) are HK$730. i bought the ticket at CTS in central. also, there are several 'direct' ferries to the shenzhen airport from the china ferry terminal in kowloon and one early in the morning form the HK macau ferry terminal. note though that 'direct' means you get taken to a ferry pier about 1km from the airport and then have to wait for a shuttle to drive you the rest of the way. going through lowu with your bags is a pain, but if you have the time and want to save some $$$ then go for it.
