Thks everyone but I had mine cut off a few yrs ago but they've grown back. It's like excess skin bits - only perm solution I understand is laser. Any one had this done, pls let me know. Thks.

Just had mine lasered off last week. Not very pleasant (it stings a bit and there's a smell of burnt flesh) but it was all over in 5 minutes (dermatologist reckoned there were about 30 skin tags on my neck, large, small and microscopic). It cost 6000 + 700 for the consultation. Had it done by Dr George Ng in the Lane Crawford building (70 Queen's Road).

I had some frozen off. Literally freezes them, they scab over and fall off all within a couple of days. Completely painless and done in 2 minutes. Cost HK$700 and something, done by dermatologist at Quality Healthcare Centre, Admiralty.

I believe they're called skin tacs.

thks for the correction DA, didn't know they were "tacs".Did your doc advise if they grow back after freezing? They are harmless - I just don't like them. Laser sounds expensive.Mamadavid - was it a package deal you paid for or per tac? Pls let me know. Thks.

Skin tacs (sic) or skin tacks are surgical fasteners.

"Freezing" skin tags is very quick. The actual tags itself won't grow back but others will pop up. So while it can seem like a ever-ending game of removal, the alternative is not an option I choose.

The dermatologist just counted them and said: "I'll do them all for 6,000". He also said that if any come back he will remove them at no extra charge.
