We are relocating there next week, and I'm clueless about setting up the TV/internet connection. I know we need 2 internet set ups and 3 TV set ups. The relocation company we are working with keeps asking me which channels and which packages, and I have NO clue. Half the list is in Chinese, and I have never heard of the other half. Then there is some babble about "packages" and "bundling..." Basically, if I was ordering for here in the US, I would get the basic channels, CNN, BBC World, and whatever could get me shows like CSI, Law and Order, maybe some movies. Maybe some good local channels? I'm mostly into documentaries.
Sorry, I'm a dope on this stuff. We rarely watch TV here, but when we do, I like to have a selection. I just need someone to tell me what package to order with what channels so this relocation company stops asking me.
Thank you.

The two tv suppliers (NOW broadband) and cable tv double up on alot of their channels. Unfortunately neither one does everything!
Cable has AXN - with LOST, HOUSE, CSI new episodes.
Broadband does not have this channel but has STARWORLD with US shows like Oprah/Soaps/Frasier/American Idol
Both modes have all the discovery channels/news etc
If you have young children then only Broadband has good channels - Disney and Disney playhouse, and Nicklodean (?sp)
Some areas of HK don't have broadband access yet.
The world cup soccer was only shown on Cable.
We have a basic package with cable (news/discovery/some movies/AXN/sport) and then selected the channels we wanted as well from broadband like disney/starworld/abc asia/HBO/BBC.
Still with all the channels we have there is often a time when nothing is on!! For major US shows rec AXN and starworld.
Good luck
