Does can anyone recommend anywhere in Hong Kong to go kitesurfing? Tips on location and how to get there would be much appreciated?

I've got my own gear and been flying for about a year so I'm not after a kitesurfing school, more just local spots as I've just moved here from Australia. thx!

There are four possibilities, but if you don't like visible pollution the only realistic choice is Pak Sha Chau (literally "White Sand Island", but I don't think the English name is used).

Go to Sai Kung pier and negotiate with one of the old ladies yelling "Sampan!" to take you there (and bring you back!) on their boat. Scenic little trip.

I have seen kitesurfers at the Beach Resort in Sai Kung. About 5 minutes passed Sai Kung town on the right, now derelict hotel but the is a watersport place there.

I have seen a couple of guys kite surfing in Chun Chau. To get there, take the First Ferry from pier No 5 in Central.
