What do you do for YOU survey

Just a curiosity survey that may give us all ideas. What do you do during your personal "down" time when you rejuvenate for yourself and for your families? Brief, stolen-away moments during the day, hours-long activities in the morning/afternoons, evenings while the children are asleep? Repeat events that keep you going and those occasional outings you can't live without.

I love putting the kids to bed and sneaking out for 50 minutes at Happy Foot!

Quick meal with my husband, a pedicure, read a book, or catch up on sleep!

I make sure to have face-to-face time with a friend everyday. If it can't be in-person, it has to be a very good phone call (though I am not a phone person) -- e-mail does not qualify. Definitely time with by hubby, reading novels, hot bath while watching a mindless comedy on DVD (no commercials), pedicures, coffee at a cafe, watching documentaries, tennis (a necessity socially, mentally and physically). I think I'll start a mom's night out some time in late August -- maybe I could start one here in this forum once I'm settled. Important to have single friends too though. Fun for the goss...

this morning: as the hubby was still in bed, i put the bub next to him for a nap. then i went out for a quiet breakfast, bought the newspaper and when i came back more than a hour later, they were both still in dreamland.

after baby is put to bed for the night: lots of emailing, dinner with hubby, reading chick lit like "the devil wears prada", nothing too stressful!

As I work from home I find my evenings occupied with work that I just can't chaieve during baby's hour long naps - boo hoo... am finally relenting and deciding we need to get some form of domestic help so that I can reclaim some "me" time!! Looking forward to those pedicures, DVD's and books.... I haven't even opened a book other than some childcare "manuals" for the last 5 months!!!

i have to start working from home soon, so my quiet evenings will soon be thing of the past as my baby sleeps little in the day, so can't do anything then! no helper but my mom babysits at least once a week so that i can go out and do something girly, like haircuts/shopping/mani/pedis!
