Television Sound

Moved recently into a flat with TV.

There is no sound when I watch Pearl or ATV however when I watch a NOW broadband channel the sound is perfect.

Is the sound problem with the local TV, something wrong with the TV or the building feed?

Broadcast TV in HK uses the PAL system, but there are several variations. If you've just moved from somewhere that uses a different PAL system that might Be your problem. Find your way into the TV's tuning menu and make sure your channels are set as PAL I (that's a capital i, not "one").

I have had another look at the TV set up. The previous tenant had cable and I only have broadband.

So the male/female black lead is connected from the TV to a white i-cable cord and then the i-cable cord is connected into the wall socket which is an i-cable socket.

Could this be the problem then? That the reception for local TV is coming through an i-cable socket in the wall and I don't have i-cable?

I have tried changing the sound system on the TV and remote, still no sound.

Which brand? Call the delear for how to tune!!!

HK use PAL I (Sound frequency= +6 Mhz from the picture frequency)

This TV must be broken!!! It's "NO sound" vs noise (different sound system like B/G, D/K and M).
