If you have been taking your pills correctly, eg same time every day, and have not been sick or had diarrhoea during the month, you are protected against pregnancy during the 7-day break.
KEEP taking the pills. It is exceedingly unlikely you are pregnant. The nausea could be from the stress you are going through.
I'm not exactly sure how longs it's been since the "event" but to put your mind at rest, buy a home pregnancy test and check the result (pregnancy tests are NOT interfered with by the hormones of the pill). And then double check it a week or two later, just to doubly put your mind at rest.
The pill is 99% effective. The other 1% is usually caused by forgetting to take it or illness.
Again, the Pill provides protection throughout the month, not just when you take the tablets. Check the leaflet which comes with the packet and it will confirm this.

1. No. The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology has done studies to prove that the pill does not cause foetal abnormalities if taken during pregnancy. Of course, you should stop taking the pill as soon as possible when you find out you are pregnant.
2. Some women get pregnant within a month of stopping the pill. For others it make take six months to get the cycle regular again so pregnancy takes longer. So you don't have to wait six months before trying and if you do become pregnancy quickly, the baby will be ok.
The important thing to help to prevent birth defects of the brain and spinal cord is Folic Acid, which should be taken when planning to get pregnant and during very early in the pregnancy. It is available in most multivitamins, as a folic acid-only supplement and in some foods. The dosage should increase during the first trimester.
It's always an idea to talk to your GP or OB/Gyn about any of your concerns. It's your body and I don't think it hurts to be as informed as possible about the medical issues regarding it.

OMG, that should be ok, it get sometime for your body tov adjust after you stopped the pill. If you take the pill on the right schedule and you did not fell sick or vomit in between the days, it should be fine.
If you get worry, your peroid might come late, then you get more worried...no point. Relax.

Claire is right. Taking the pill religiously for the time you have been will protect you.
I know people who went off the pill and were pregnant the next month. I know peope who went off years ago and are still not pregnant. Some miss one pill and get pregnant. It varies from person to person.
