Pleaase advise: I have a Merry Maid cleaner here now and I dont know if its customary to tip. If I should, how much should I give her. She charges $320 for 4 hours.

That is expensive I only pay $150 dollars for 4 hours. I give my maid a bonus twice a year once at christmas as a thankyou present and once when the financial year ends when I get my bonus both are 2 months salary

She cleaned the flat for the tennants before me so when i moved in she contacted me, sorry. She is truely super as well and does the most wonderful job.

We pay our Helper $300 for 4 hours. Some weeks she stays for 4 hours other weeks it may be more or less but ends up even in the end. No tips during the year but we do give her a red envelope and a small gift at Christmas and another at Chinese New Year. Don't think the Helpers expect a tip at other times.
