B-day Party????

Please I need some Ideas for a 9 years old girl's B-day party.

The other day I sugest something to my girls for a B-day and she told me, Mom that is too babiesh...

so I don't know, does any one have a good idea how to impress her with a good party?

What does she like - can you create the theme and plan the party with her? Get fun things in the lanes in central, decorate the living room, have a few close friends over...


Do you need to really impress her and her friends, or can you do something simple that shows you care and love her... there is way too much pressure in HK on throwing OTT (Over The Top) parties for kids...


Here are some ideas that might work with a small number of close friends:


rock climbing party at YMCA,

art jam party (the places everyone gets to paint),

cooking/food prep party (ask go gourmet if they do this for children),

I really hope 9 is too young for a spa party with manicures?

the problem is that at this time her friends has gone for summer holidays and there is no one to make a party with, but your suggestions sound like a good idea.

oooh, I see... so you need something special really just for her! I guess you will have that every year if her birthday is in the summer.


Is there something she would love to do for a day or half day with parents? Or what about a gift of something like tennis or swimming or rock climbing lessons - something she can do for a few weeks (while her friends are away)?
