Hi every one
my friend is willing to buy a car in Hong Kong.but he doesn't have any idea about the tax for car?

Assuming it's for a private car:

CLASSES OF MOTOR VEHICLES AND RATE OF TAX
Item Class of motor vehicle Rate of tax %
1. Private cars-
(a) on the first $150000: 35%
(b) on the next $150000: 65%
(c) on the next $200000: 85%
(d) on the remainder: 100%
FYI, this kind of information is on the Transport Department's website. Direct your friend there because he/she will need a HK driving licence and a vehicle licence. If he can't find it, suggest to him he shouldn't be on the road.
