I seem to have read that it is normal and you dont have to worry yourself about it.

Actually, during pregnancy, you didn't loose much hair, so now it does.

It is normal.

It took me about 6 months to stop the excessive hair shedding (I have long hair and it was insane how much was everywhere!)

I have a bit of a thin spot now on the front centre, but not too noticable. My hairdresser told me she already sees the new hair growing in nicely.

Creative styling is the best solution!

Keep in mind two things:

1. when you were pregnant, your hair did not fall out, so was very thick. So most of what is falling out now was really not meant to be there anyway

2. if you do thin a bit, it will grow back

ha i went mad with all my hair falling out. i had long hair but after 4ths of it just being everywhere (mainly wrapped around my bubs fingers) i went and got it cut very short. it still falls out (6mths on )but at least it's not soo long.try to brush it as oftern as you can to keep the loose hairs from dropping

ellie> As with so many things to do with us women, it's hormonal.

After you delivered a large percentage of your scalp hairs went into the resting phase. After a couple of months they fall out at the same time. But don't worry, this is temporary and it can be like soft baby hair when the new hair grows back in.

It's easy to say "don't worry" to someone viewing their bald spots but please don't worry. It's normal and natural. And usually stops around six months.

I too was very worried as my hair is falling out so much that the top bit is thinning. I went to the hairdressers the other day to get it cut a lot shorter so it doesn't look so bad. My haridresser also told me it is very normal and that it will grow back in a couple of months.
