Hi
Is there anybody, by chance, who's got an apple laptop like a macbook, and who could help me trough a huge problem ???
I have just arrived from France where my Wifi computer worked perfectly well... Since I've been here, I can't get connected at any network, wireless or not.
Please I need some help ! I have been to the Apple center here and they coudn't do anything for me.
It is so frustrating, especially because I desperatly need internet to find a room, a job and everything.

It may have something to do with the concrete box you are living in. We have a wireless Mac in our house and it took quite a while to figure out the best configuration due the large amount of blocks it has to contend with ie many levels, concrete. Do you have an ISP in HK?

The problem is that at the moment I don't have a house, I'm atying at the hotel, and they couldn't give me their proxy adress in order to configure my network preferences.
Excuse me, but what is an ISP ?

ISP = internet service provider
You may need to subscribe to one to allow your computer to work on the internet if the hotel won't give you their proxy address etc.(in effect they are not giving you access to their ISP)

That is what I was affraid of. So, I'll have to cross my finger to find a room and a job very quickly now...

if u connect it form hotel, just plug inthe ethernet...and set up a new location in newtwork...on configure IPv4...using DHCP...after connect...just press the renew DHCP lease..and it wikk work, good luck
