infant milk powder - urgent

Hi, I was wondering if someone could advice me on the milk powder. My baby is 9 months old and had been having NAN 2. But now nestle has put the production on hold since they are promoting NAN HA 2 (which didnot suit my baby). So I decided to change the brand.


I heard that PROMIL GOLD 2 is good so I tried it on her and it did suit her. The doctor says you can give any milk all brands are the same. But you know a mother always wants to give the best so any suggestions would be welcome. I checked the nutrients of promil which happen to be less than NAN.

Hi, I guess you are all experienced mother. I have a question about my 5 months baby. He has been having a japanese brand MORINAGA milk powder, has green color and bad smell sh*t..I want to change to another brand,but my mother( baby's grandmum) said my baby is doing good wich is no allergy or other problem.... Do u think i need to change anothor brand of milk powder ?

My pediatrician told me that any formula made in Australia/NZ or Japan is what I should give to my babies. Any formula made in Europe should be avoided due to the nuclear/radiation problem they had decades ago, still in the soil....etc.


So I switched now to Snow Brand. My baby now 9 months is doing really well with it, even his terrible eczema is gone. My older daughter was on Enfamil, then over to isomil (eczema) then to Enfamil again, then to Pediasure, then to Promil, and now finally switched to Abott's Formula (don't know the name) has a Giraffe on it, this is made in Australia.


I find them both doing very well with it, no contipation, not too sweet, not as hyperactive, and normal bowel movements.


Emilylee- if your baby is on Morinaga, have to say, that is the best brand, just REALLY REALLY expensive. Lucky you, you can afford it. If your baby is having green colour poop, it means that there is too much iron that the baby cannot process, that's why he poops it out. Nothing wrong with it. If your baby is doing well with this formula, and you can afford it, don't switch ! Is your baby eating solid foods yet? The Bad smell poop comes from solid foods if you started solids. Not necessarily the formula. How long has your baby been on this brand? Just suddenly changed in his poop ?

GAIN is also good.
