The bad thing about KK in HK is that if you want your dougnuts hot, you have to ask for it. Otherwise, they will give it to you premade. While we are on the subject of dougnuts, have anyone tried

"mariposas" in Hawaii? They are dougnut like without the hole in the middle coated with sugar. I believe they originated in Portugal. Now those were good!

Papa Beards in the basement of Sogo makes an amazing fresh cream puff... not so sweet, very fresh and very yummy treat. It is a Japanese brand that is now a huge success in NY and other locations. There are other Papa Beards in HK too, but not many.

I second that!

First tried them back home and was over the moon when I found stalls here. I know there's one at the Mongkok MTR station and another in Tsuen Wan MTR station (the latter sits beside Mrs Fields and Pie and Tart, so the aroma is absolutely fantastic!!)


Not so hot about donuts, but have cravings once in a while. Where exactly is Krispy Kreme located?
