My Blonde Highlights

I just saw the Color thread and wanted to write. I am from the states and have lived in Hong Kong for 2 years now. I had given up on my hair really, had it fried at least a dozen times. The last disaster was enough to make me want to shave it. Then a friend from Womans Forum suggested I try the person she and her clients are using. I will say that I was EXTREMELY wary after the past issue, but went. I am truly amazed to be honest. (no big head Douglas) I went to see Douglas who is the Director at Philip George Salon in Central. I must say that I do not usually put these things on here but I owe him this one. My hair was FRIED and the color was horrible...I am pleased to say that after a patient few hours he untangled my mess and I have never been happier.

I do not know what he used for a treatment but I actually have soft hair again...thank you to the staff there and Douglas, you gave me my sanity back.

IMO, a bad haircut is just a bad haircut, but a bad colour job can be a disaster. It's worth climbing over mountains and through swamps to get to a good one. Nice to hear you didn't have to do that!

kittycyn,

Your story sounds almost like mine..blonde from the U.S, 2 yrs here, and my hair horribly highlighted by a well-known & popular expat hairdresser (no names mentioned). :X

If it had'nt been for Philip George rescuing my hair, I'd be walking around with orangey-copper highlights right now...ewwww.

Got an appt. tomorrow actually, and I'm taking my friend..it'll be her first time.

Douglas, if you're working tomorrow I'll come introduce myself. :)

i've been looking around hong kong for decent highlights for years, now, but don't have that much money, so i kept going to cheap places -- the last of which turned my hair blue, whilst going for ash blonde. anyway, finally found a place that does them quite well -- they only charge HK$550, and did a really good job. it's called Ajisai, in causeway bay, 2890-1861.
