How to remove paint from bedspread?

My landlord kindly repainted my walls while I was away, but spilled paint on a cotton bedspread. Grateful for tips on how to get the large splash of grey paint off (washing doesn't do it). Thanks!

What colour is the bed spread?


You could try paint thinners??or nail polish remover but it may also create a problem with the colouring.

Dried paint is nearly impossible to remove.


Some ideas though, dry-cleaning solvent (may require multiple applications), WD40 (works on some things), Stain Devil No 8 (suitable for use on most colourfast and washable fabrics).

Many thanks Claire, dimac4 & Simple Simon, for the ideas. Sounds like it's not worth the effort. One bedspread to be cut up for floor rags then...
