I have been told by Singaporean Ministry of Manpower that I am not eligible for a dependent's pass as I am only in a common law marriage with my Australian partner. We are both Australian and de facto relationships are legally recognised in Australia and I have had the embassy write me a letter to verify this. We have the stat dec witnessed by the embassy and substantial proof of our relationship.

I am on a LTSVP but want a dependent's pass so that I can work. My parter is a P2 holder. I have a bachelor degree.

I have friends who have the dependent's pass and who are defacto relationships, however they went through a legal avenue to get the pass.

Who in Singapore could do this for me? Do I have any chance of getting the D-Pass?

If you have a bachelor degree, you do not need a dependent's pass to work in Singapore. If you can find an employer, the employer can apply help you to apply for an employment pass.

Yes, I realise that... still not as easy as it sounds.
