camera movie problem

I have taken short movie images on my Pentax digital camera but when I try to view them on my PC I only get the sound and no image. I'm going nuts trying to work out what I'm doing wrong. Help pleeeeeeeease!!!

Hi Cruiser.

Try downloading and saving the movies to your PC. Then open the folder where you saved the files and rename them, sometimes the PC doesn't recognise the file name. You can also try to manually open the movies with a movie player. That might work as well.

It's a bit hard trying to diagnose things when I don't have all the details.

I can view the short movie on my camera and I have downloaded onto my computer AND changed the file name but still no luck. I can hear the audio for the movie just not the picture. It is an AVI format and I tried opening it with QuickTime, a message came up saying it couldn't find the compressor ???what ever that means. Any other suggestions? Is there something I haven't downloaded properly maybe???
