where can i get one from in HK and how much? or is it better to buy in the US

Transformers are big, costly and heavy. Even say a 500W one would be over 5kg. I would take note of the advice in the other thread and look into buying 220V appliances.

I bought a few transormers they are a bit bulky but you can get a 300 watt for about $150, there are tons of small electornic shops pretty much everywhere you look, if you are looking, you can get them there.
