I am looking for some advice. I have hust invested in an HDTV with HDMI input and I now want to get a HD DVD player to complement it. The poor quality of my current DVD player is now more apparent than ever!

I don't want to spend a fortune on one and have been advised that the best one for price value is the Denon 1910. It retails for about US$200-US$250.

I will look for one in Hong Kong, but I am interested if anyone else has any advice on this matter

Best

If you want a great DVD player with HDMI output then look no further than the Samsung VD-HD950. you can pick one of these up at Citicall for about HK$1600. Dont go to Fortress as they will charge you HK$2450.

True HD wont be fully supported for a while to come, and true HD DVD players are just too expensive. The samsung will upsacle your existing DVD's from 480p to 1080i/p and they will look perfect! This is a cheaper alternative.

Just remember that Blue Ray is coming and it's even better than HD-DVD :-)

First movies will be released in Europe and US at the end of the year.
