Hi all, I have just arrived from New zealand and my two year old is waking up at 5am because of the light in the room.. How do we get blackout blinds installed here?

Curtains are REALLY cheap here so you can either have them made or go and buy ready made ones in IKEA (Causeway bay, underneath Park Lane Hotel)

Thanks so much Tanya, I'll try and get there on the weekend when my husband is here to help with the kids!

You could also try Queens Road East in Wan Chai, there are many curtain shops on that road - they will come and measure your windows for free and give you a quote.

Or call:

Phil

New Concord Enterprise Co.

He speaks excellent english and will come to your house to discuss in detail what you need.

I just bought some curtains at Ikea that are very thick and don't let in light. They are grey in color and the product name is Tupplur. I think they consist of 3 layers of fabric.

Black binliners and masking tape (easy to remove without damage) are a good stopgap and also handy when travelling!
